What is your favorite place you have visited?
I am going to go with an island. That would be Oahu and I go every chance I get. Bonus points if I get to watch a magical sunset.
What do you wear most days?
Shorts, flip flops and a hoodie.
What is your favorite aloha shirt brand?
Reyn Spooner. If you know, you know.
How many aloha shirts do you own?
400 Reyn Spooners. Yes, four hundred. No, I am not done collecting.
Why do you wear aloha shirts?
Because they are nice enough to wear with slacks and they fit my personality.
Work and Business
What is the one book you recommend to every business owner?
Start with No by Jim Camp and then Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. Those two books changed how I think about negotiation and decision-making.
What is the worst business advice you have ever heard?
Say yes to everything. The best advice is to say no to everything first.
What is your favorite way to ask for the sale?
It is really easy to get started and here is the first step.
What would you tell your 25-year-old self?
Ask for the sale every time.
What is the first thing you do after closing a big deal?
Create a picture for my awesomeness swipe file. I can go back and relive the memories.
Daily Life
What is your go-to coffee order?
I don’t like coffee so let’s go with hot chocolate.
Do you have a morning routine?
I get up and listen to my goals. I record them every quarter on the beach.
What is the last thing you do before bed?
Listen to my goals so I can dream about them.
What music do you listen to when you work?
Classical, opera, or house music.
What does a perfect Sunday look like for you?
Sleep in till 7am and get up to read for an hour.
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
I don’t know what a day off is. I love to work. Now if I can do it from the beach… that’s the perfect day.
The Fun Stuff
Beach or mountains?
Why is this a question? BEACH. Of course.
Dogs or cats?
Cats. I used to have a 34 pound Maine Coon named Rootbeer.
What is your guilty pleasure TV show or movie?
I play movies in the background while I work. Whatever emotion I need to feel is the type of movie playing.
What do you collect or obsess over?
House music records, cologne, aloha shirts, and pictures of sunsets.
What is the best meal you have ever had?
Medium rare ribeye steak with tons of seasoning.
Why do you say Aloha and Mahalo?
It is something I have picked up over 100 trips to Hawaii.

What is the one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I used to speak Russian and American Sign Language.
If you were not a consultant what would you be doing?
I would be a janitor. Everyone leaves you alone.
